Believing that every home should say something
about its occupants versus the designer, Cindy sees her greatest strength in
not having “a look.” Through an extensive interview process she seeks to
identify the taste and style of each homeowner and works to create their
dream home. Twenty plus years in the industry has resulted in a vast library
of resources from which she draws for unique design expressions whatever the
genre.
Cindy holds a BS from Auburn University in Interior Home Furnishings and
Equipment (now called Interior Design). At Auburn, she served as
Vice-President and President of the School of Home Economics and was a
member of the National Dean’s List.
Guest lecturer and juror for senior design projects at Auburn University
from 1982 until 1992, she serves on the Board of Advisors for the Department
of Human Sciences, Auburn University; and has developed and taught several
classes at Auburn University Montgomery Continuing Education. As founder of
Design Symposium, 1984, she was guest lecturer alongside internationally
acclaimed designer, Raymond Waites, of New York City. In the summer of 2001
she and daughter, Megan, lived and worked in New York City where Megan
interned for Raymond Waites Designs.
